A Request
I was going to sit down and write things, but instead I am being social and writing emails with annoyingly long subject lines. Sadly, people are starting to ignore my emails because they look like spam. So please go back to your inbox and check for unacknowledged creativity, be it mine or your uncle's. Thank you.
Poetry
I got a set of magnetic poetry, put it up and threw a party. These are now some of the things glaring at me every morning from the refrigerator door as I stumble sleepily and reach in to get milk for my cereal:
incubate sweet lather peach bare breast milk
always and enormous
we sweat and drive madly away
languid butt ache symphony
I ask her pant size
rip me like in day TV
red finger pole goddessBut while many of the words remained unused, I wouldn't say that about the white board, every square inch of which was covered with graffiti the next morning. Maybe that teaches us something about the creative urges of my drunken guests, or in general, people liberated in one way or another. I wish I knew better.
The Big Truth
The people I am looking for? Everyone that I would split up a bottle of wine with. It can be amazingly difficult to find someone with whom you are willing to share a bottle of wine.
get the fcuk out
It's 8:30am on Monday, I'm trying hard to make it to class on time, so I can only pick one
CNN.com story to read. I need to rank my priorities: what in this messed up world do I care about the most on a Monday morning?
It turns out,
French Connection is going to go easy on the
fcuk branding. Their sales were too low. Now they might actually try to incorporate fashion making into their business strategy.
Two things that I was trying to figure out: one is, what happens to all those people whose job it was to come up with the
fcuk slogans? There is probably a Markus with a k who got laid off this morning, and for the last three years all that Markus did was think of things to write on t-shirts. By the way, the morning he came up with
lucky fcuk - that was a lousy morning. Following a lousy night. So tell me, what about dyslexic Markus?
My second concern is whether my good old
cool as fcuk t-shirt is now going to become so-last-season or increase its value with time like an old comic book on a collector's bookshelf.
