Getting groceries
On the way to the grocery store tonight, I accidentally looked up and saw the moon hanging on top of the roof of a house across the street. The sky looked heavy and accommodating, the moonshine reflecting off the clouds. For a moment I actually felt guilt, sitting there with a sense of enlightenment from a sight so overstereotyped and drained out of all uniqueness. Then I thought how behind all portraits of the night sky stood somewhere people, their circumstances inconceivable to me, who saw exactly what I was seeing. I felt close to them.
